Head : Craplet Michel

Main objective

The purpose of the Alcoroute survey was to analyze what is currently going on in the ANPAA care structures for drinking drivers, i.e.: what is their typology? What is their future in the care structures? What consumption modifications are observed in terms of treatment

Inclusion criteria

The subjects studied were those consulting for "driving while intoxicated" in participating Alchology ambulatory cure centers (CCAA) and who were consulting for the first time either spontaneously or sent by justice.

MELODIE - Elaboration of a predictive clinical score to evaluate the adherence of obese, type 2 diabetic patient to the physician's recommendations in terms of medications, exercise and diet

Head : Vignal Franck, Sanofi Aventis

Main objective

Using the cardiovascular risk factors of unbalanced obese type-2 diabetes patients, develop a clinical predictive score of the adhesion of patients to the modifications in their therapeutic care and/or in their life hygiene that are prescribed for them

Inclusion criteria

Man or woman over the age of 18 years; Type-2 diabetes treated via oral diabetes medication monotherapy; HbA1c ≥ 6.5%; BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2; Abdominal obesity defined according to the NCEP/ATPIII – 2001 criteria: waist > 88 cm for women and > 102 cm for men.

ALMA+ - Aluminium in water conveyance and Alzheimers disease

Head : Rondeau Virginie, Unité Inserm : U897

Main objective

Study the relation between minerals in drinking water and especially aluminium, and the development of Alzheimers disease in 75 or more years old subjects. Verify if high concentrations of aluminium (more than 50mg/l of water) can improve the risk of dementia.

Inclusion criteria

75 or more years old subjects, exposed to high concentrations of aluminium in drinking water (Al>50mcg/l), residents in 14 towns of Dordogne, different than the ones included in the PAQUID cohort. 75 or more years old subjects participating to the PAQUID cohort, residents in one of the non-exposed towns (Al<50mcg/l) in Dordogne. Exclusion criteria: subjects recently arrived in town. Inclusion period: May 1999 - January 2001.
